VISION STATEMENT FOR BAYMEADOWS BAPTIST CHURCH
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations...”
Matthew 28:19–20 (KJV)
Baymeadows is a church with the ultimate goal of fulfilling "The Great Commission" in Matthew 28:19-20. We learn in God's Word (The Holy Bible) that Jesus did this by building relationships and meeting needs, both physical and spiritual. He showed great compassion and love to all those with whom He came in contact. Therefore, it is imperative that we build His church upon the same principles.
My vision as Pastor of Christ's church (prayerfully to become the vision of Baymeadows) is one that truly has and expresses love for each other and for the world. Our love is expressed by acts of compassion, not judgment; welcome, not exclusion. We are a loving family, working together for the best interest of the family as a whole, realizing each individual has different levels of maturity and therefore different needs. We are a church that weeps with those who weep and rejoices with those who rejoice.
We teach the Word of God in a way that exemplifies the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23, just as we would with one of our family members. We are a people that are involved in the lives of others, genuinely caring for one another and reaching out to welcome new members into the family.
We support each other and willingly give of ourselves as the love of Christ is shed abroad in us according to Romans 5:5.
